FL700??? i'd like to fly a 172, that can get that high... :eek:

they must have an STC for an ION drive...

172 was tossed out of the International Space Station and was descending through that altitude, perhaps? Can't think of many other ways to get one that high...

That would explain why they reported the tops at 180,000 feet and the base at 70,000 while they were flying at 70,000. So that’s no longer a mystery. Now, can someone help me find 2E on the chart?
 
Either a sydlecix student or just a dumbass student in general. :)
Surprised that the acceptor of the PIREP did not verify. (unless of course this was accepted via a text message with 0 oversight)
