Figured I'd start a thread for folks to check in at during the event.

Basically, if at any point during the event you find yourself wanting to hang with other PoAers... maybe you are really itching to argue over FAR interpretations, or no one has debated you on non-debatable topic all day, or you found a dead horse that you'd really like to beat with a few other people you don't actually like but for some reason frequently agree with, or even if you just want to make wildly inappropriate boob comments while vehemently denying the misogynistic undertones of the overall pilot community... feel free to post here and let everyone know where you are!

Pictures from the event are encouraged. Unless they are of me getting arrested or otherwise being escorted off the property.

The Venture will be parked in the "Charlie sandbox" in front of the home builders hangar. Not sure where they will have me camping just yet.

Be headed that way in the morning, planning a Sunday morning arrival. Staying at the dorms again because I like a/c and spend enough time sweating on the gulf coast.

Headed that way Monday morning, doing dorms since friend isn't into the camping scene.

Hopefully I'll be making a day trip on Monday. Parking at the seaplane base.

Currently in Janesville Wisconsin waiting for a break in the mass arrivals

Skies have cleared, since - airplane floodgates have opened!

Just want to let you all know, you are landing too flat.
Oh, and both mains at the same time would be better.

Now where did I put my landing judge scorecards?!
(and my "im perfect" badge)
LOL

How about most any landings where the crash crew isn't needed is close enough?

Fly safe ya'll..

I can't take the anticipation!!!! I'm just pacing around my front door, bags fully packed, waiting for Tuesday morning to arrive.
There's always the leave early option. I mean I wouldn't want you to miss all these planes.

Good drying yesterday, very light rain last night, I doubt there is much wet grass anymore.
Perfect weather now.

Light stuff on radar coming from W

There was a hard rain overnight. The rain lasted an hour or so. The ground is pretty soft, there are a few muddy areas, and more than a few people have sleeping bags and similar stuff out drying. That said, i wouldn't consider it unusually wet.

There is no rain in the area now, so things should dry out and improve as the day goes along.

Nice chat with the great fo
lks at the Emergency Aircraft Repair station.
