How slow...

Low and slow aren't for me ,like a good cruise speed when flying low.

If 70 is best glide, I find 90 indicated to be good. That is about 35% power or so. Half the gas, 75% of the speed! Just try it and see how slow you can go and the plane still handle normally.

About 90kts at about 1500AGL and I'll sit back to enjoy the view. Life doesn't get any better than that.

Normal cruise around 160-165 kts and 4,500-5,500 ft.

My mooney will settle in nicely at 105 kts using 7 gph at 2300 and 18.5" when I don't have somewhere to be.

If I want to linger, say for photography or searching, generally 90 knots. Lots of maneuvering flight is involved, so I don't want to be much slower.

I like about 2100 rpm for sightseeing/loitering (maybe 110 KTAS), 2300 rpm for a half-hour lunch hop at 5000' MSL (maybe 135 KTAS), and 2550-2600 rpm (145-150 KTAS) when I'm 8000' DA and above, leaned out and headed for another state.

Would you still pull back on the knobs if you were paying a wet hobbs rate?
