Favorite pizza thread

Its called My Pi and everyone should fly to Chicago and try it.
In hindsight, that was a little crazy. But it was good!

A guy flies to another state just for a pizza, let me look, maybe there's one here.

So I went to their facebook page, and it looked pretty tasty!

So I noticed you can order it and have it shipped; so I thought hey, what the heck, it's winter in MN and we get bored.

Are you kidding me?!?!? $70 for TWO pizzas?!?!?

Bride and I really enjoyed Lou Malnati's, as well. Very Chicago, very good.

I like Pizza Foundation in Marfa.

As for favorite pizza places, I grew up eating DuSals in Manalapan, NJ. If you ever fly into 3N6, call and uber and get a ride there. It's only 2 miles away and is (in my opinion) the best pizza in the area. Now that I'm in CT, I'll take BAR in New Haven. Mashed Potato pie with bacon, yum.

I flew into 3N6 today, but before I read this thread.

My local pizza is Grimaldi's on 2nd Street, Hoboken. Fresh Mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, lightly charred thin crust.

But earlier this week I grabbed a slice at Printon 56. The sauce and pepperoni were really really good.

One year, my wife took me on Scott's Pizza Tour (website is scottspizzatours dot com) where we visited many notable pizza places in Manhattan including going into Lombardi's kitchen to watch them make pizza.

If you're going to have pizzas shipped, gotta order at least four to make it worthwhile. Six is a better deal: http://www.tastesofchicago.com

Sometimes, Dominoes hits the spot:

This particular delivery was between two countries.

I dunno, is $70 for two pizzas a worse deal than $100 for one hamburger?

I visited a friend in Hoboken a couple weeks ago. He took me to Grimaldi's. We got half pepperoni and half sausage. Pretty good.

Or simply go to Tokyo....

Shakey's was one of my favorite pizza places growing up!

I had Pizza Hut in Spain, and it was like a ray of golden light when I saw it. I was getting tired of the weird food, sorry, but I was. The pizza was delicious.

When I was stationed in W. Germany in 1970, we went for a ride in one of the guys car. Forget the town but there was an A&W! After living w/ nothing American around in a foreign country we were blown away. Something that happens I guess when you see something American after a long absence of not seeing anything.
