So I have an opportunity to gain access to a nice Grumman tiger.

My question is anyone ever rent one ? Trying to gauge what the going rate for a tiger is either wet or dry.

If you own one what's your operating cost roughly per hour ?

$50-60 dry would be a decent price in my opinion.

But sorta depends on how it's equipped. Newer avionics, I'm okay with paying a bit more than something many generations old.

Is a Tiger about the size of a 172, with the same engine? Fixed gear?

I'd guess it should rent for about the same as a similarly equipped 172.

That's what I'd use as a measuring stick--a plane with same engine and similar size. I would guess the hourly maintenance costs would be close.

I rented both a Grumman tiger and cheetah for a few years before buying my plane. The cheetah goes for $115 wet and tiger was $125wet (garmin 430/Stec30 AP stormscope ect)

The local flight school rents one for $145 per hour wet. By comparison, a somewhat newer 172SP goes for $155, and a similar vintage 150 hp 172 rents for $135. So, figure $10 per hour more than a 150 hp Skyhawk.

Tiger is 180 hp, the closest comparable Cessna is a 172SP.
