Dayton Ohio stunt plane crash

Glad I stayed home. Almost went to see the show today. I found out LeRoy's team would be there when I spoke to him last week at the Selfridge ANG Base show (I'd asked if he was heading to Oshkosh, and he told me they were scheduled for Dayton this year instead).

R.I.P. Jim LeRoy.
:(

He put on his usual terrific show at The Great State of Maine Airshow(at Brunswick Naval Air Station) a couple years ago. I nailed some super photo shots. This tragedy is a great loss to the show circuit.

I live in DAY now, and was walking down to the gym when the formation flight of the P-51, F-15 and F-4 came across the sky. I got a call from a 2nd LT volunteering (I was supposed to volunteer with a few WPAFB friends, but one was hurt and I stayed home). It's been all over out here, that and the OSH accident. 2nd LT said he was with the AF rescue crews on base Thursday night (forget the unit name), having a beer as they said "They always bring us out to these, it's not like we ever do anything...". Sad bit of foreshadowing.

RIP Jim.
