What kind of bike do you ride?

Ride this baby a few times a week up/down some moderate slopes, and your medical is in the bag indefinitely.

SV650S, DL1000, VS1400 (all Suzukis).
I also have a bike with pedals, but I don't even know what brand it is.

Nice bikes!

I don't own anything as I'm a klutz when it comes to anything with less than four wheels.

Litespeed Appalachian

Constructed of Ti; its my SR-71 Blackbird

I bought a used Specialized with 21 gears. Works great, scoots right along in high gear, but still climbs hills well when I get tired.

Is it a Specialized Sirrus? If so, does it have a red handle to activate a BRS 'chute?

Got out of MX, traded that hobby for the airplane. I've had:
CR125-1990, 1993
CR250-1994, 1996, 1997, 2002
KX250-1998, 1999, 2001
CRF450-2003, 2004, 2006, 2007
KX450-2009, 2011, 2013
Along the way I tried pavement. Had a 2002 CBR954RR for about a year, until I realized that (a) I needed to go to track days before my right wrist got me in trouble, and (b) if I didn't hurt myself, the texting, latte-sipping, clueless motoring public in full size urban assault wagons would.
Still have a 2003 XR250 to play on, and my dad and I are restoring a 1978 CR250 (his last bike in the 70's before starting a family and getting out of MX...until I started racing in 9th grade and he got back in).

At the time of this writing i have a F700GS

Prior to the F700GS I had the Honda CRF250L.

And my first bike right out of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MFS) course was a 1993 Honda Shadow VLX 600 "Deluxe".

Bikes are like flying without actually getting airborne (well, i'm a beginner rider and don't do jumps and stuff - not on purpose anyways).

Here's my ride. 49 cc of pure terror! Great for running around the airport and visiting friends. RV-9A is in the paint shop right now getting a matching paint scheme.

Although I have many bikes, this is by far my favorite. 330 HP Stage 2 Turbo Busa

Depends on what I am riding for. Most of the time it is the 09 HD Heritage Softail, but if I feel like throwing it around some I ride the 09 Kawi KLR-650. And if I am really in the mood for some fun the I borrow the 08 Suzuki GSXR-750 back from the friend I sold it to when my knees and wrist started hurting after every ride.

I have been riding something since I was 16, and I spent some time track racing in Japan back in the late 80s. The few times I have not had a bike is like a living hell, but my new obsession with Planes may be even worse.

The one I bought...

The one I built.

The second one is currently stripped down to the frame for final paint and body work. Should be truly finished in a couple weeks.

Trek Shift 2 which is plenty for a geezer. Lots of rail trails in the area makes it easy to get out and about.

Cheers

Before the plane I raced motocross. Iv owned and raced a cr125, kx125, rm125, and a rm250. Then I got to old and switched to mountian bikes. Now I have a 2013 Specialized Rockhopper Comp. Love it!

Serrota Ti, road bike, forget which model, custom built for me, 10 speed (rear) 20 total. Just put some Zipp 303 wheels on it because my rear ksyrium elite cracked. I love the new wheels. Big ride coming up next weekend.

Went through the crotch rocket phase for several years. Had several 600s but my favorite was the zx-9.

09 Triumph Bonneville modified
78 Suzuki GS750e (restored)
82 Harley Ironhead in a hardtail frame (long term project)
08 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe

Selling the Bonneville and the Suzuki though...time to clear out the garage and focus on flying.

How do you like the Marlin 6? I've been looking at the 5 and 6 lately to get into mountain biking without spending a fortune. Any dislikes?

So far I like it a lot, with no dislikes. Good midrange components. First bike with disc brakes, and I like them. Bear in mind I'm not real hard core and a more experienced off-roader might find flaws.

As an aside, I bought it used from the nearby Ocoee Adventure Center. Used one season as a rental, got it for $325. They do that at the end of each riding season if you want a deal, can wait and don't mind a trip!

2015 K1300S. Can't get enough.

Best I've done is just shy of 180 on my R1, I would like to get the 200mph tshirt one day though.

2005 FJR 1300 and 2013 Super Tenere.........

That's weird Vf6cruiser...I have a 2012 Super Tenere & a 2008 FJR 1300. We must be brothers from a different mother. I also bought a new 2005 FJR in the fall of 2004 & missed it so much I bought the 2008 FJR. I love the color of the 05 FJR.

I miss my 954, but it hurt too much. This one doesn't, and its Italian. Not giving up sport bikes, too may witless cagers out there for my piece of mind.

Ducati 1098. Its like having a gorgeous neurotic Italian nymphomaniac mistress that overspends her credit card. But, I keep her, cause she lets me rider her.....

Well said! Ducati 749R and 916 here.

Sounds good. I haven't ridden a mountain bike since I was in my teens, so I'm certain I wouldn't be able to complain about anything. I have no experience with the newer gearsets/shifting mechanisms, nor have I used disc brakes on a bike (hydraulic or otherwise). It seemed like the Trek Marlin and mid-level Specialized Rockhopper had a lot of positive reviews, especially for those who will only be doing light/mild off-road riding. My last bike was a 20" BMX with some freestyle add-ons that I bought as a teenager and kept through college!
