Op for sale is my gently used Vertex Standard VXA-300 Transceiver. Everything that came with the unit is included. Has a rechargeable battery (installed) and the attachment which allows you to use AA batteries.

What is the range of a model like this? I'm thinking it's not a bad idea to get something like this as with a G1000 if one of the radios is likely to go out, so is the other and this would be a nice backup
