Hmmm post count didn't decrease.
Kind of thought it would

Well, that was quick...

btw - shouldn't that be "left rudder applied"?

Nope. The best site in aviation just ran off the edge of the runway, took out runway lights, and had a prop strike. It's probably a total loss.

After perhaps a year, POA will assess the result and if they don't like it they can bring the spin zone back.

I was a member of the spin zone for approximately 8 hours. It was fantastic.

I only sucked the most recent >2k threads out of 10k. Ran into parsing issues and restarted a couple of times.

Ah well. Next time this happens I have the sucker ready.

I've had just enough wine to not care about silly things like ramifications of posting this:

Here's the little bit of code I wrote quickly and while drinking:

Happy new year everyone!

Are you as think as we drunk you are?

Now some of us can tell the newbs ...

I WAS HERE WHEN THERE WAS A SPIN ZONE YOU PUSS!

After walking a mile in 12-foot snowdrifts.

In my day, we posted in the spin zone by gas light!

I view the spin zone the same as I view gay pride day. I'm not you, I accept you, I'll listen to you, but if you went away, I wouldn't notice.

Young welps, I started with a 300 bps acoustic coupler!

Now, GET OFF MY LAWN!

Mine was direct connect with a switch but close enough... Had to select originate or answer tones manually as appropriate, as I'm sure you did also.

Happy New Year old fart. :)

And spin zone gone means rudder was applied opposite to the direction of rotation. ;)

DOS and 8086 were at least a few years *after* acoustic couplers were all the rage. :) That was a new-fangled "PeeCee". ;)

CP/M and Z80s, baby.

That was back in the days when Spin Zones meant something!

I learned to program on a 6502 and was so glad to get a 65C02 because of the extra instruction set. I loved the BRA instruction that was added, made making location agnostic code so much easier.

No joke? That's cool!

Ron is a man of many talents....

Glad he is a POA member......

And he writes good articles too...;).
