EA6B new role in Iraq

But, it all started with the best-ever, all-weather attack aircraft.. A-6 Intruder. :)

Lessee....

If there's an IED on the ground... and an enemy agent with a cell phone to blow it up, .......

(1) the phone signal doesn't say "Hey I'm a Trigger" or
I'm "calling my mother".

(2) the antagonist isn't going to call untill it's time to "go BOOM!"

(3) the instant the call is placed it triggers the IED. BOOM!
(just like it does in the movies) There's no delaying mechanism...

How does the Military expect to stop these instant calls? The IED's should go off on the first ring....
Not enough time to analyze these calls....
Unless all the calls in the area are disrupted....
and then you don't need to "analyze" anything ..

Hmmmm, is this just fodder for the public??

OH!!! Wait!!! Is this a political discussion??? Oops.... delete me... (sigh...)

Spookie stuff always amazes me.

Wouldn't it be nice if the EA6B sets off the bomb before they get it placed?

The EA has the ability to broadcast on all freqs. with 25 mega watts of power.

I just realized... that's what's on the other end of the ramp from where I was. So, they are over your place all the time. Have you ever seen radio/TV problems that may have been caused by the EA-6B's system?

No,,,,,,,, they are very careful.

the PODs will not radiate until they are airborne and the airdriven gen set in the nose gets spun up.

Oh, that's right. I forgot about the generators. It's been a while since I've seen one, particularly up close.
