Found a New GREAT Comic! [NA]

I decided to turn on the TV and channel chase a bit while having a lunch sandwich. I stumbled on Comedy Central where an Asian guy was doing a stand up act.

The guide says he's Henry Cho, "Tennessee-raised, Korean-American." There's something funny alone watching a Korean telling jokes with a southern accent. The guy is great. What's best, not a single foul word... something incredibly refreshing among stand up comedians.

There's no future listings on the guide but I found a couple pieces on YouTube:

A couple more on MySpace: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.uservids&friendid=52749044

His web site and schedule: http://www.choindustries.com/tour.htm

Listening to comics make a string of cuss words into some "comical" routine gets pretty old. This is a guy I'll be looking to show up nearby.

He's on Comedy Central right now, for anyone that wants to see him

I have seen Henry Cho a couple times at a local comedy club called Zanies.
The guy is an absolute hoot. And as Kenny said, what you hear does not sound like it should be coming from what you see.

I saw this guy on tv a few years back. It was hilarious to see an asian guy with a southern accent and he does make fun of himself in his jokes. My cousin has been living in Memphis for a while and she has picked up the drawl a bit too. Was giving her crap about it. :D (She's of asian descent too.)

The profanity doesn't bother me much because there is a time and place for it. The 8 year olds on the playground by me would make any of the comedy acts seem tame.

He's funny, saw him several years ago also. Nick, on the time zone thing, first thing I figured out when I went to California. Some things are at the correct "time", some are not. Network Evening news is 5:30 here in Vegas, 6:30 in the Eastern time zone (live, and still two hours before it airs here). Saturday Night Live, 11:30 either place (here, not "live"). One would think we'd get everything at the same "time", but I suppose due to some live things actually being "live", I guess that won't work. Comedy Central probably does very little live stuff, so their schedule is probably mostly the same across the country.
