How do you guys expand the photos like that?

You mean like the one below?

To post it in that size, I first clicked on your smaller image and it was displayed in a pop-up dialog.
I then clicked on that dialog and my browser (Firefox in this case) opened the image full-scale in another tab.
I then went to that tab, copied the URL (which is http://www.pilotsofamerica.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=37574&d=1420947332 ) and pasted it into the dialog I got when I clicked on the "Insert Image"
insertimage.gif
icon.

Normally you should be able to get a URL to the full size image when you upload an image to PoA that you can then copy into the "Insert Image" URL entry dialog.

Oh - and to avoid such outrageously large images, use an image editor to scale it before uploading.
Since most displays are under 2048 pixels wide, that should be a reasonable upper limit on any one image.
Unless there is a good reason for needing the resolution, 1024 pixels is probably a better upper limit.

EDIT: The image was so large I decided to remove it.

I noticed with that size it lost a lot of the color. I will try it with a few more!

Thanks!

Get it put on the minimum equipment list. Let the company supply it.

First two are #tbt from 1999, I was still on my solo endorsement. Had to wait until 2000 when I turned 17 to get my certificate

Checking fit of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 I use as EFB running Garmin Pilot in the Yak. Comes with a Garmin 496 which might be a better fit but GP provides a lot of info, especially since I have a GDL-39 3D with ADS-B Wx and TIS-B Traffic.

Practicing on my brother as I prep for my CFI ride. We did the four fundamentals and he picked up pretty well!

Did a little pattern work today and the sunset was so pretty I broke out and ran down the coast for a few minutes to enjoy. This is a screen cap from the video.

The clouds last night at sundown were breathtaking, glad someone was up and enjoying it - I was just getting home from the office (11 hr workday, all in meetings...yuk).

Closing on the Yak when I get back from Japan in a week, then I can enjoy this too.

That is an awesome shot, could be a postcard, thanks for sharing!

Can't remember if I've posted this already (and I ain't scrolling through 56 pages to check!), but here's "Amelia" over our wonderful island.

The hotel is down there, to the right. :)

Went to Stephenville for a Valentine's Day trip yesterday. Approach took us right over top of DFW on the way out and then again on the way back. This A380 used just about the entire 13000 feet of runway to get off the ground. Cool to see something like that right underneath me.

Did some cross country prep yesterday - All the rain we've been getting lately must be making a difference, because I've never seen the hills around the Bay Area look so green!

Rented at SNA and flew round robin over LA. Landed at Catalina Island too. Was awesome.
