So I will be driving up to Porterville CA (KPTV) on Wednesday for All Red Star XIII, a 3-day Red Star Pilots Association event. Expecting about 50 aircraft across the Red Star line (CJ-6, Yak-50, Yak-52, L-29, L-39) plus the T-34 Mentor Association.

3 days of formation training, ground attack, carrier landing competition, and formation competition.

This will be my first Red Star event, so I am looking for maximum GIB time in the Yak's and maybe even a jet or two. It is amazing how professional these guys are in their approach to flying, I took their FAST Formation Ground School webinar last week and I am really looking forward to a great weekend.

Planning to take lots of pics and video and will post up when I get back and have a chance to clean them up.

Sounds like a blast. Haven't made it to ARS yet, but have been to a lot of RPA clinics. They have all been a ton of fun, don't be shy, and I am sure they'll get you in the air quite a bit.
