The Blues? Damn right! Destination: KCKM. Authentic Delta Blues.


KCKM had a fly-in last year. I am going to find out about this years plans and will report back.

There are a number of places to stay. Morgan Freeman's "Ground Zero Blues Club" has apartments above the juke joint for nightly rent. Don't plan on sleeping much at night though.

The FBO has a courtesy car!

Camping?

I just had a conversation with the airport Chairman Dave Huggins. He is going to look into camping on the field during the fly-in. Last year was the first year they had a fly-in and they apparently never had a request to camp on the airport.

Dave did say you need to book a year in advance for a room during the festival, so opening up the airport to camping could be a way to make it easier for us to attend.

I told him about POA, so he may be posting here soon.

I flew over to the Able Flight Fund raiser last year at Ground Zero. Five of us got into the curtesy car (an old Crown Victoria police car) but we still had plenty of room. Great club and nice folksat the airport.
