The E5 does not require a backup:

Regardless, I kept my vac system and mechanical AI as a backup. Makes me happy when I can't see outside. :-)
I've got an E5 awaiting installation by Gary Jet Center. Should go in w/in the next month. Have a KT 74 coming in too. All will be mated up with an IFD440 that was installed last September. Stay tuned... :-)
I used to use Unisys' site for Skew-T plots, but they seem to have scrubbed all references from their web site. I searched for some comment on the fact but couldn't find one, either on their site or via Google. Does anyone know... Did they just decide it wasn't worth publishing/competing with...
