Tower Shielding Facility located at Oak Ridge.
Originally used to test nuclear airplane’s reactor when aloft
Used in 1960’s to develop shielding for astronauts
I cheated a little bit, but interesting nonetheless...
I suspect that's something they've figured out, at least partially. I imagine the initial aircraft would be used on a route with a fairly decent turn time to allow time to charge.
The NTSB link you posted doesn't say column input. Here's what it actually says:
"Shortly after, when the airplane’s indicated airspeed was steady about 230 knots, the engines increased to maximum thrust, and the airplane pitch increased to about 4° nose up. The airplane then pitched nose down...
I like flying myself but transatlantic in a small aircraft/small jet? You could pay for plenty of business or first class seats and drink the entire way over :)
The Arrow I flew for my instrument rating was notoriously difficult to hot start.
When my instructor and I used to fly over to grab some ribs at Michelbob's (Naples) he'd leave me in the aircraft with the engine running while he ran across the street to pick up our ribs
:D
It's my understanding that charging a dead battery using the aircraft's alternator is neither good for the battery nor good for the alternator. I was always taught to use a dedicated charger to charge the battery and then attempt to start the aircraft.

I've been camping there for over 20 years now and to me the amenities are getting (slowly) better and better.
It was an older 737....possibility of a rudder hardover or reversal? I know the older ones had issues with the rudder PCUs and a few crashes have been associated with it.
Airline revenue management is much more complex than people think it is.
What its partially intended to discourage is the practice of booking a later, cheaper flight then going on an earlier, more expensive flight for the cheaper price. They'll typically allow those with certain levels of...
