In this day and age, approach availability with an IFR GPS to meet ACS requirements seems more likely than without with the decommissioning of VORs and NDBs. So can a DPE leaglly say no if the aircraft is suitably equipped to meet ACS criteria?

IIRC they are offering an RV-14 FWF package. That might entice a few re-powers across a numbers E-AB models, especially for overseas folks where availability and cost of Jet A trumps AVGAS. Plus there's no STC to stand in the way.

As TCABM stated, Vans publicly announced a few weeks they would not be at SnF this year and they aren’t, but they said they would be at Osh.

We’re thinking it’s part of the 50th Anniversary celebration.

So we’ve been here since Saturday volunteering and I’ve had ample opportunity to wander the grounds as things are getting setup. By the looks of it, much like Osh last year, this is going to be a banner year for SnF. New vendor areas, more venders, more entertainment, just more of everything.
