Thanks guys! I have all the required fixed wing times so that is no problem. Lately I have been hitting the books and doing a lot of instrument training to get up to speed. I am hoping to get a sign-off in the next couple of months so I can take my check ride.
There might be some shared hanger space at Aero Country. Its a good airport and convenient for you. During the trips where you return home and need an approach you can divert to TKI and Uber home. Then re-position the plane another day.
What cleaners are yall using on your plexi windows? Rain-x makes a product for plastic surfaces and it says it is safe for plexiglass. Does anyone have any experience with it?
Also to note with the JPI you can use the lean find mode to dial in your ROP/LOP temps exactly. In that mode it will automatically identify the first cylinder to peak. It will store that value you and you can adjust rich or lean from there and it will tell you how many degrees from peak you are.
In short: steeper approach angle and shoot your approach to the ground rather than a hover. I am not familiar with Blackhawks but the -64's have flight symbology in your eye that helps once you brown out.
No big deal, I should have included more background.
Did all the equivalency stuff in the service and hopefully doing the add on soon. I am flying cross country much more frequent and want the ease of filing IFR and being in the system. I would have done it sooner but I wasn't doing this type...
I didnt give any background but I am not in the military anymore. Got out in 2012. I am looking to do my instrument fixed wing just for my own personal flying.
Maybe you could figure out what you want then do a search on the registry to find that type in your area. Write a letter to owner and ask if he would be will to accept a partner. Maybe there are planes out there close to you that arent being flown enough and their owners would welcome someone...
Excellent guys! Thanks for looking into that for me. I had outlined the tasks needed based off that table but was unclear on the flight requirements leading up to the checkride. Looks like I need to start thinking about a Long XC.
