It is getting closer and closer to fall. I'm busy with driving and motorcycle training at the moment. Im also joining the Civil Air Patrol as of now. Makes me wonder being a grass field, is red Stewart open in the winter? Is training still active then as well?

I'm building a PA-18 in 1/48 scale and need to see where the brake pedals are located in the rear. I also need to see the framework that is visible at all times as well as rigging (if any). Thanks - tce

I don't personally know any pilots. But since about third grade I have studied airplanes non stop! Included in that was trim, prop control, mixture, etc. Really its not all sim pilots. But only the sim pilots that play it as a game and have little interest in becoming an actual pilot.

Who all is in the area and what do you fly? Also I saw three planes at the moraine airpark earlier today around 8pm. Two cub style airplanes one red and one yellow. I also saw a biplane, I think it was white. Anyone on this forum?

M1911! I love it! It will take someone down. Very accurate too. It has more parts than others but is very reliable. Over 100 years in military use. That should say a lot. Just because it's a 45 don't get discouraged or afraid if you don't shoot much handguns. Its not bad recoil. Just use both...

What are your experiences with flight simulation versus the real thing (other than the obvious)? In another thread someone said that bad habits can be developed. What are they and how can you avoid them?

I think I will start there. I was going to start at the Wright Brothers Airport in Springboro. Red Stewart looks likes better prices and training though.

Is it possible to do all of my training at Stewart field? Beginning to end?

I have not yet started training (17) but I do have a pretty good head start with simulated flight. Anyway, I eventually want my commercial license (to make money as I understand). I am interested in aerobatics but don't know where to start. I know I have high hopes in the aviation community but...
