kg works as long as you are on earth with 9.8 m/s^2 acceleration due to gravity. That even varies some depending where you are on earth and what altitude you are at. The weight and c.g. locations are probably off by more than that.
If you are on Medicare you get an annual checkup. I use that every year to get a new CMEC signed off. It also probably helps me keep my insurance. The insurers start looking at you different after 70. My doc doesn’t see it any different than a DOT truck driver sign off.
The Omni Royal is a great place to stay just a few blocks from Burbon St. and Jackson Sq. We used Uber from KNEW. There’s also St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 tours. Check out Nicholas Cage’s pyramid grave for that future event.
I’ve had a ‘partner’ shadowing me as well. Not just Foreflight, I have Garmin Pilot app. It’s the mix of TIS and ADSB locations not matching and the software thinking there are two of us.
Better to know now than after a heart condition. A friend had a stress test and found they needed triple bypass. With no heart damage, they had their special issuance in 9 months post op. If you are in worse shape or have a heart attack, everything is worse for you and your family.
I was just at the Mid-America Air Museum in Liberal, KS. There’s 110 aircraft there. https://www.cityofliberal.org/191/Mid-America-Air-Museum. Website isn’t great, but the collection is wonderful. They have the original Beech Starship that was used for all the promotions. A great list of civil...
For us Midwest flyers, just wondering how the SW “monsoon season” (NM, AZ) affects flying. Is it mostly a late day event, or does it wash out a whole day? Are the ceilings high enough to fly VFR around the showers? Is there much widespread IFR?
One of those screws was loose after my plane was painted. I found out when I was checking the blades in preflight. The spinner screw came out during flight and hit about 3/4 way up the back side of the blade. It left a screw thread impression in the aluminum blade and a slight bump on the front...
I’d still be concerned about checking for a loose connection or the potentiometer carbon tracking problem. It could also be the on off switch contacts since it goes off randomly. I wouldn’t go for the transistor as the first cause.
Drive to Damascus, VA and take one of the bike trips up Whitetop Mountain that's offered in a number of bike shops in that town. They take you to the top and you have a lot of fun all the way down the Creeper trail back to Damascus. Check out the Barter Theatre while you are there too.
Flew to Mobile, AL (KBFM) and on to New Orleans (KNEW) in May. Easy to Uber into town from both of these. No need for a car. Stay in downtown Mobile. Lots of places in walking distance. Great food on Dauphin St., Museums nearby. If you get a car, be sure to drive the 45 minutes to Alligator Alley.
