    V-Twin Down Janesville

The report states the left engine oil pressure sending unit harness had damage "not consistent with impact". Based on the photo, what do we suppose happened to it? Knicked accidentally during maintenance?

[NA] USAA Auto insurance claim, other driver at fault

I was with USAA for over 25 years, until a couple years ago. I live in Wisconsin where cars get rusty, so I buy all my vehicles from Colorado, Oklahoma, and similar areas. Our son was soon to be getting his drivers license, so I found a nice one-owner Honda CR-V in the Denver area for $5000...

I've always admired Jay's Mighty Grape over the years, but this is the setup I came up with. It's a 12v transfer pump + inline filter mounted to a Harbor Freight tool cart. It's powered by a 12v car battery, and I connect it to my trickle charger while out flying. I use metal 5 gallon Blitz...

What is the deal with Blackhawk Airport (87Y)?

The put a new roof on what was the maintenance hangar, which became the defunct auto repair shop. That building does not appear to be occupied anymore, and the junk cars are gone. Not sure why they bothered with the new roof. :)

    More TSA nonsense

Heh, it's still owned by the Strassman's. I believe they are just cutting costs to break even, because property taxes have gone up, CFI insurance, etc. They stopped selling fuel to save on insurance, apparently. I really wish I could have seen 87Y back in its heyday. I heard it was just...

    More TSA nonsense

Hey Kent, come on over to 87Y where we have $211/mo hangars. Last I looked, we're the only one in our 8 unit t-hangar building. Wait..... no fuel, no FBO, no bathroom, no-one to fix the hangar door when it breaks, no mechanic, no rental planes, no CFI's, and weeds growing through the runway...
