Engines, and planes, are highly overrated.

    9:36 airtime... damn.

So, uhh... wow? (pilot in class Bravo without clearance, McCarran)

Wow... what a class act. Does the FAA publish punitive actions? Here in Canada, enforcements (and other actions) are published and the COPA magazine prints them monthly. EDIT: Here's the page of searchable enforcements for non-corporate offenders...

    Oshkosh Recommendations

Thanks for the input guys... Leaning towards either the beginning (Mon + Tues) or middle (Wed + Thur). Sounds like the real solution here is to go the whole week.

    Oshkosh Recommendations

I don't own an airplane currently, so I would mostly be going for the experience, exhibits and atmosphere.

    Oshkosh Recommendations

Sounds like a good time. OK, so still torn between early, mid and late week.

    Oshkosh Recommendations

I've been wanting to go to Oshkosh ever since I started flying some eight or so years ago, and finally will have the opportunity to go for a couple days this year. I'll be heading in commercially, don't have an airplane to use for the trip. If you only had two days (and evenings) to spend there...

Cessna 206 (Stationaire) How Does The Copilot get in?

Yep, did the training years ago. Stressful for sure, even if you got out just fine. Definitely worthwhile.

    Need a new iPad

Modified engine/prop? Looks like the stock tach gauge only goes to 2500 RPM. Nice panel btw.

So with 2018 around the corner, what are you guys looking forward to in the world of certified avionics? I know I’ll be keeping an eye on the GFC 500...

When can you afford an airplane?

@denverpilot, thank you, very good input.

When can you afford an airplane?

Agree with you on this one... at the closest GA airport to myself (CYKZ, which incidentally is slated to shutdown in the coming years) I was quoted $850/mo for an unheated hangar.

When can you afford an airplane?

That sounds in line with my estimates, thanks for sharing.

When can you afford an airplane?

Thank you for sharing that, very helpful. That's a very good point, I suppose it's all a matter of perspective and how much you are willing to spend.
