As much as I hate the entitlement of the bring-your-pet-fn-everywhere crowd, I actually haven't seen a misbehaved pet yet, nor a potty issue. I assume it must happen, and I don't assume the owner must deal with it promptly.
As such I would take 2x the number of entitled pets out there in the...
I have run a club similar to #2. The short answer is that it is a for-profit club, and really a flight school in disguise with lower volumes and (hopefully) better pilots. Whoever holds the equity is pocketing any upside, or at least intending to. :)
We used ours to provide our flight school...
I'm lucky that in my career I've been able to avoid that dreck. Others are less fortunate, obviously, because it's eeeeeeeverywhere.
I actually assume most of the implementors of that garbage are stuck on H1B visas and basically are faced with the choice of "enshittify or be deported along...
Yeah this is why I keep 0.38mm scratchy-scratch pens in my flight bag. I hate using those things. I often try to take the remarks into the right among the frequently redundant hour columns -- or at least the signature. My sig could take up that whole dang box if I wasn't paying attention.
It's not the developers, it's the idiot middle management trying to justify their continued employment after "job done"
We're usually the victims of the enshittification, not the perpetrators.
(posting while covering throat :D )
Are you intending to commute in?
Close "as the crow flies" is not the same as "close as the car sits in traffic" in LA as I suspect you know :) I'd do CPM or HHR before EMT. The difference in drive, if you're near commuting times, could be 30-45 minutes.
I have been based at CPM and HHR. CPM...
12 feet! It's a GR-12 :) And yes to the HF box, got it on some sidewalk sale and could use 3 more like it. I'm a fan. @Salty -- I learned that you can just fire lowball bids at Iron Planet and they'll relay them for you and you can actually end up haggling. It's slightly strange vs. eBay, but I...
Dumb and probably not what you're after -- but I own my hangar (port-a-port) at an airport that doesn't necessarily want me there, and it shows through in many ways.
My favorite aviation purchase recently is a little Genie scissor lift.
I have used it to patch all of the ceiling leaks, run...
I was thinking the RV could claim radio issue or even "sorry I never heard him", never acknowledge an ATC instruction after that, and the feds would be toothless to hang him for it.
Just a mental thought. The more saturated the airspace around me gets (and more error-prone/entitled the pilots...
Amusing side-thought -- since tower answered back with the N number (thus 2-way comms established), could not this RV now drag his jowl through the class D any which way he wishes, all while ignoring any subsequent comms?
Bad form surely, but... I feel like a tower controller who was grouched...
"the event" ?! Has open discussion of middle-eastern terrorists flying planes into skyscrapers on 9/11/2001 become something not to be spoken aloud like the N-word, "gypped", or selecting an incorrect pronoun contrary to someone's preference?
I have venmo'ed you the value I found in your post. It's only money. :P
OP -- rather than getting a ragged out dream plane and trying to find a loophole around the quoted insurance rate on it -- would it make more sense to get a nice example of your dream plane and arrange to share the costs...
How busy are english aerodrome patterns typically? that would set up a demolition derby here when we get 6+ in the pattern. Perhaps the safety impact there is different?
