Is the restricted airspace north of KLAS always hot or do they open it up when not in use (such as on weekends)?

I should have clarified but my question relates to a fuel injected engine.

As power settings change (via throttle changes), does that change LOP settings based on EGT (degrees off peak)? I realize this may be less relevant if leaning LOP based on CHT as Mike Busch suggests.

I just read that and some of his other articles. What I'm taking away is that it doesn't matter where you run it LOP as long as it is rich enough to run smoothly and lean enough to keep CHT's cool. Between these limits it is a function of efficiency vs. power. And Mike Busch doesn't lean (LOP)...

I have an IO-520. I'm installing an engine monitor and GAMI's. How many degrees lean of peak should I run it? What drives this determination (how many degrees LOP)?

Can you drive the HSI on the G5 from a GTN-650 (as you can from the G3X)? I'm finding conflicting information online.

How long do the desiccant beads last before needing to be recharged? I'm trying to decide between the Black Max the one made by Jerry Olson. Those seem to be the two most frequently referenced online.
