    STRUGGLING #2

Just a question, you have 80 hours in the last year and you don't have your private yet? Perhaps this might be the reason for the instructor's behavior? Just asking.

Mayday STOL drag races - Wayne NE

I took it the poster was talking drag racing in general, "the name drag racing". I don't even know what STOL drag racing is, never heard of it. So ya, found it odd to condemn the very term "drag racing". He seemed to suggest just call it something else and it would be OK. And to your other point...

Mayday STOL drag races - Wayne NE

"Just don't like the name of Drag Racing"?? That is an odd comment. Participating or spectator, it is a great sport and family orientated.

    Cheyenne

I have a couple hundred hours in a IIIA, N75LS. I know the OP asked about a II, just brought back memories of the IIIA. This particular Cheyenne (1984, 42-5501017) was the flagship when Lear Siegler owned Piper. The "A" model had the -61 Pratts (850 SHP, flat rated to 720) it was quite fast. On...

Question about being denied Class III

It appears to me all you want is to convince us you are right and the FAA is wrong. Even if you succeed, so what. You think anybody at the FAA cares what you or the board members here think? You have been given excellent advice yet you do not even acknowledge it. I am finished with this, I do...

Question about being denied Class III

Your first mistake was applying for a medical without knowing 100% you would be able to get it. Once denied it complicates things. That is water under the bridge and can't be undone. I again urge you to take the advice I gave you in my post #2. Dr. Chien literally wrote a lot of the the...

Question about being denied Class III

The best advice is to contact bbchien (on this board) and follow his advice to the letter. Do not argue with him just do what he says. If he can not get you your medical then it can't be done, period. Good luck. One other thing, be COMPLETELY honest, leave no pertinent information out.

    Weekly Commute: Is It Practical?

Well we have managed to dash the aspirations of another potential pilot. To the OP if you are interested in flying then for goodness sakes try it. Schedule a couple lessons and see what you think. If you like and can afford it get your medical and get your private. Just forget the commuting...

    Weekly Commute: Is It Practical?

Maybe so but, my experience has been break company rules wind up unemployed. Will be hard to hide that much flying. Yes, he is a few years away from being able to commute by private aircraft. I just think it makes more sense if his learning to fly depends on him being able to commute that he...
