DUAL Garmin G5 HSI & PFD In Flight Demo - 430W & STEC 30 Autopilot

Sorry about that, I didn't watch it, though I will. FWIW, the question was asked after the video and I didn't see an answer.

DUAL Garmin G5 HSI & PFD In Flight Demo - 430W & STEC 30 Autopilot

To swap between HDG mode and GPSS you press the knob on the HSI, twist about 2 clicks right to GPSS and press in the knob. Same to go back to HDG mode.

Has anybody installed the Garmin G5 HSI with GAD29B and GMU11?

We just did dual G5's, GAD29, GMU11, GTN750 and GTX345 and Flightstream 510 in our 210. We have the Cessna 400b autopilot and it works reasonably well. Slow turns to the left but its going back in to get that fixed. The G5 DG has a heading bug on it, just turn the dial. To switch from GNSS to...

    CFI Flight Test

(Sheepish grin) You busted me, I haven't been on the boards much between a very demanding day job, lots of flight training and flying on my own, it doesn't leave lots of time to be on here. But I'm around if needed. PS- I tend do do a lot more on twitter, just ask Nate (above) ;-)

    CFI Flight Test

I did my CFI initial with Tom Hornak, 6.5 hour oral with some very odd questions. The flight test was normal except the power-off 180 landing. Combined it with a manual gear extension causing some issues. Ron

A goal of becoming a pilot

Yeah, HWD is a fun one to be downwind and see a 737 fly not far off going into Oakland.

That's what I did at Advantage with Mike Shiflett, a 2 week intensive course and then it was easier to teach get there to teach.

A goal of becoming a pilot

I don't recall any requirement to fly the full length of the runway before turning crosswind, just 300' below the TPA is when I turn. It's possible we meet, I have taught some at Sundance too, for a time I had an instrument student there before he bought into a Bonanza club.

A goal of becoming a pilot

Kimberly, I have flown out of KPAO for the last 7 years and the controllers are great, nothing to be scared of. I'm a new CFI, CFII and if I can help you overcome your fear of our airspace let me know.

    The Grand Adventure

Re: The Grand Adventure, Day 3 Kent, That is the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone called the Lower Waterfall. Here's a closer view and if you look to the upper right you'll see people standing at the edge! It's spectacular up close too! Ron

    Gaston's 2008 Departure Thread

Well I can't but I know Will is flying in to Little Rock tonight and then driving in. Shhh, don't tell him I told you. ;-) I don't know if that's on his way or in his time frame, so maybe check with him, leave a voice mail at least. Kent has his number. Ron

AWESOME BBQ! And everything else too. You want a roll? They throw them at you, it's great. They walk around with big tubs of all the side fixins' and you get as much as you want. Worth a stop, but go hungry! Ron

    Garmin 396 Power Adapter/Cable

Felix, I broke several of those connectors as they are hard to pull off from the GPS. I ended up cutting the cable and adding a quick disconnect to it so I can leave the cable attached to the GPS about 4-6 inches worth and so I don't have to fear it breaking as often. Talk to Will at...
