It was straightforward. They eventually had me scrap my BITHO arrival and told me direct to a waypoint then vectored for a visual approach. Easy peasy.
Any last minute recommendations? I flying from central GA, planning to go toward Ormond beach and head south. Parking at US Aviation.
Airspace seems a little busy. Anything I should expect from ATC that could complicate the trip?
Thanks
Trying to plan my flight to KTIX (Titusville, FL), and they have this message:
RWY 18/36 CLSD TO AIR CARRIER OPS 2211141436-PERM
I would assume this doesn't mean someone like me landing in a single engine plane. Just want to make sure before I get a phone number to write down. :D
According to the lady that answered, they'll waive one night with 20 or 25 gallons. So if your just staying for a day or overnight, it shouldn't be bad. Being there 4 days and paying 200 in ramp fees is a bit much for me though.
Soaking helps a great deal. I go around with a spray bottle and hit the leading edges and my front cowl. That takes a minute or two. I then come around with a microfiber towel and they bugs come up pretty easy. Then i put a spray wax. Takes about 10 minutes. I think doing it routinely...
Not sure. We're booked in early December. I guess we need to start looking. Even if we end up driving from middle Georgia, I still like to come up the night before just in case traffic is a problem. Which cruise line are you taking?
I called Merritt Island and Titusville. Merritt Island is $50/day; one day waived with 20 gallons of fuel. Titusville is less expensive. One FBO said $10/day, but they offer SS fuel so it's cheaper. The other FBO said no daily parking fee if I'm buying fuel, but they only offer FS fuel. I'm...
My wife booked a Disney cruise. Has anyone flown into Merritt island for a cruise out of port canaveral? It’s a 6 hour drive, maybe a 2 hr flight If it’s doable, anyone that can give feedback about flying/parking there?
This is my person 2 cents. I wouldn't put any money into the cherokee unless you knew you were keeping it for a while. Long enough to justify the expense of the avionics, so that's a personal call. I flew my mooney for a few years. I kept thinking I might step up to a different plane, but I...
