My instructor did tell me that he pulled the line of “Sir, take off your DPE hat and put on your CFI hat and teach me this topic so I can have the knowledge with my pink slip.” The DPE didn’t fail him and actually laughed and helped him find the answer. Idk. Probably a combination of 5ohms being boosted to 50ohms for the mic to work and less than stellar avionics in a trainer.

Smyrna is a great option. Cheaper than tune with less traffic. Lots of National Guard traffic and the tower has mixed military and civilian controllers when they guard is drilling on weekends. Great class D airport. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Right. ForeFlight is killing the EFB game right now. Garmin Pilot would be my first choice if I didn’t have to use their proprietary ADS-B receivers. But considering I have Mac computers, iPhones and iPads all mesh perfectly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
