    Multiple Recent ATC Errors...Why?

I still have a couple of CRT computer monitors (in addition to a couple of flat-screen ones).

    Multiple Recent ATC Errors...Why?

I'm going to peg myself as an old guy by revealing that the first thing that came to mind for me was "cathode ray tube."

    Multiple Recent ATC Errors...Why?

I don't have any information on whether people are being hired whose disabilities prevent them from doing the job, so I won't comment on that. My question is this: Is there, in fact, a surplus of applicants? The reason I'm asking is that that would be necessary in order for qualified applicants...

Flight from NC to Washington state

In western Washington, there's stuff worth seeing pretty much everywhere you look. Kenmore Air flys seaplanes all over. (I'm less familiar with eastern Washington.)

That doesn't sound like a DEI issue. Was there a surge in retirements at some point?

Headline: Near Collision At Reagan Intl.

It's weird that the guy in the video complains about allegedly unqualified pilots when the article itself is about a case of controller error.

Enough jobs for the student pilot population?

Try not to let your push for hours lead you to take unnecessary risks, as apparently happened to this guy: https://www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/threads/commander-n965bc-crashes-in-icing-conditions-13-apr-2024-in-san-bernadino-mountains.146927/

That certainly sounds incriminating for whoever made that decision.

Yeah, the lack of remorse really sunk any plea for leniency for her. In the video I watched, it was pointed out that there are warnings that jailhouse phones are NOT private.

Other than that, the safest place to be on a Star Wars set apparently was wherever the storm troopers were supposed to be aiming. ;)

    Lets make Friday 'Joke Day'!

There was a guy on Facebook who was trying to convince me that it's impossible for rockets to leave the atmosphere because they would experience high-altitude stall. He claimed that all pilots know this, and when I told him that I'm a pilot, he didn't believe me.
