    Crash Near KHPN

Looks like it happened shortly after takeoff (crash site about 1NM from airport). Terrible weather around here this morning - low ceilings, fog, rain. http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2014/06/13/small-plane-goes-down-near-westchester-county-airport/

See above. I just studied those three books. If you know them, there is no need to be nervous. For the written, I was able to just memorize the questions, but you do actually have to understand the material for the oral. Absolutely. I was very fortunate. KHPN

Thanks to all. KHPN Yes, very much what I expected. Nothing that I wasn't prepared for. The oral was a little over 2 hours, although there were a few "stories" in there that took up some of the time. Everything was directly out of the FAR/AIM, Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical...

    Another New Pilot

    New York Pizza

Modern is the correct choice. I lived there for 4 years. Sally's and Pepe's are more famous, but Modern is better. Better pizza with yes wait? Yes, please. Glad you enjoyed everything, bluesky.

    New York Pizza

Been lurking for a bit to get a feel for the place. I have some expertise on this topic, so it seemed like a good time to dip my toe in. Glad that you agree.

    New York Pizza

Fly to New Haven, CT (HVN). Only ~45NM past New York. HVN is 5-10 minutes from downtown. And New Haven has some of the best pizza in the US. Pepe's, Sally's, and Modern are all outstanding (Modern is my favorite and the least crowded of the bunch). Random, I know, but true.

    Best NYC Training Location???

I am currently training at Panorama at HPN. I am also pretty sure there is nothing at TEB and also agree that HPN is your best option from northern Manhattan. In addition to CDW or MMU, you could also look into FRG, N07, or LDJ. At HPN, there are only two schools. Panorama trains on...
