I flew to Oceano, grabbed some BBQ at the Rock and Roll diner then ate it on the beach a few days ago. Nice evening. The beach is closed to vehicles but still open to foot traffic.
Bell206 was correct on this one, C-100084 appears to be a sub-part number. Ended up replacing the old cap with a new one part number C156003-101. On one side of the new cap was the C156003 number and on the other was C-100084.
I’m having a hard time identifying a Cessna part number and where it came from. The fuel caps on my C182 have the part number of C-100084-1 printed on them but I cannot find that number anywhere in the parts manual. Does anyone recognize this number or know if it was superseded with another number?

The C clip fits in a groove on the latch post but it’s not a tight fit. Ours would do the same thing when pushed in. The teeth were stripped out of the handle except for a few way deep inside the handle. There’s enough play in the c clip that you can push the handle farther onto the latch post...
If you are referring to the internal door handle it fastens with a c clip to the latch mechanism post. The post has teeth on it and the door handle has a hole with teeth inside which engage the latch. Our teeth on the handle were stripped off after years of use. After a quick search of airplane...
