importing an airplane from Canada to U.S.

Best done via escrow in the US. They knew how to do it.

Transport Canada should be able to decertify same day. They did when I imported my plane

Good place to find quotes on insurance before deciding on a plane?

So, go with a broker you like - I recommend Travers Insurance, but there they all just put your request out to market. After you've done that, get a quote from AVEMCO. They don't work with brokers so you wouldn't have a quote from them if you only used a broker.

First plane for family of 5

The only piston single 6 seaters you'll find that are remotely useable (and 6 adults is not happening regardless) are Bonanzas and the Cherokee 6/Lance/Saratoga family. A Cherokee 6 will fly whatever you can stuff into it, although you won't break any speed records. Lances and early gen...

FIKI cert Mooney adequate for regular winter trips to Newfoundland and Labrador from New England?

Main difference between the CAV TKS FIKI and Inadvertant system is the FIKI has dual pumps and heated stall sensor. This is according to the folks at CAV whom I spoke with last week about this exact issue.

Choosing the plane for Winter mountain trips

just to indulge you…your best mix of performance, physical space and load is an early model Saratoga Turbo PA32R-301T. The early ones had a decent useful load whereas the later ones had a lot less due to all the “luxury” features that are now old and outdated lol. Turbo will get you in and out...

Choosing the plane for Winter mountain trips

Respectfully, you’re a long way away from safely flying in and out of high altitude, challenging airports. Factor in weather, IMC, winds and you’re looking at a challenging mission for any pilot let alone A pilot who is still a student pilot. It will probably take you a few hundred hours until...

    New case against flight tracking

Yes, she's OK with her whereabouts being public and all-over social media if it's about her concerts or celebrity appearances but if that public info is about her jet - cease and desist! As for the guy mentioning the license plate issue, most people that own jets (speaking from experience lol)...
