Looking for a partnership at KPAE

A student pilot is interested in up to a 25% (and anything in between) share of suitable for dual instructions high/low wing aircraft based in KPAE. The preference is given to low/midtime engine. Please PM me if you are looking for a partner or you know someone who does. thanks!

Just asking. Remember, I only have 20 hours of dual instructions :D .... I am still scared sh*tless of pretty much anything flight related!

Gentlemen, I appreciate the lively discussion! Financial aspect aside ;) , would you personally fly in the left seat of an aircraft with the engine past TBO? Thanks!

the dues are $270 per month that covers regular maint, supplies, insurance, hangar, etc. A tach hour is $30, dry. One thing, I was really surprised to see was how clean, almost hospital clean the hangar was: the floor is painted white, insulated white walls The partners have the original...

It would be ideal, but I am not desperate. I understand that the engine will need an overhaul eventually. I am just trying to figure out if there is a reasonable chance not to have catastrophic engine failure during takeoff.

Let me ask all of you here, would you personally fly an aircraft with the engine slightly above manufacturer's TBO time ? What would be the sign of an engine about to fail (I strongly suspect that the way I ask the question may not be 100% correct) ? Thanks!

Joining the partnership is one of the options I have. Had no idea if I wanted to go any farther with the co-ownership offer.

the plane is current, due in Feb. I believe that the aircraft had the "owner assisted" annual. PMing you.

Here is a VERY similar craft: * Same year model * IFR * Similar exterior/interior condition * Engine times http://www.controller.com/listingsdetail/aircraft-for-sale/PIPER-WARRIOR/1974-PIPER-WARRIOR/1344201.htm

the buy in price is $3K. the aircraft was repainted in '91 and has always been hangared(KPAE). The interior is probably 5-6 out of 10. Steam gages with the yolk mounted tablet

That was my other thought too! Hypothetically, if we fly equal amount of hours my chance to be in the cockpit when the engine fails is 25%. Out of 4 partners, I am the one least likely to survive if it happens. According to Murphy's law, my chance of being in the cockpit is 98% :mad2:

Unfortunately, there is no engine reserve fund. Their dues cover the hangar, annuals, insurance, etc. If they did, my choice would be way easier

Folks, I just joined the board and pretty happy about it! I am a student pilot with about 20 hours of dual instructions. I was training with the local club. My CFI has left the club, so I have no one I like to train with currently. My CFI is a member of 4 way partnership on Piper Warrior...
