Entered the USAF as an aviation cadet in 1949. Graduated flight class 50-E. Gradually rose through the ranks to full colonel. Highlights of career was combat tour in Korea in F-80s, combat tour in Vietnam as F4 pilot. Combat tour in SEA at NKP Thailand as 56 Special Operations Wing Commander and Nail 17, Forward Air Controller with 63 missions in 72-73
