What Aircraft Should I Buy? - Bahamas Mission Edition

I’ve had 3 414’s and a 421B, they are all nice to fly and if you ever put your wife in the back of one, she’s not going to be happy in anything less!! :)

Previously Owned Aircraft--Do you stalk them?

I do occasionally check on my former planes, my 310R was in South America, I saw my first 414A in Destin many years ago, it ended up being repossessed and ended up at a dealer in Atlanta.

    182Q vs 210N cabin size

I didn’t realize it was a P210, I wouldn’t have any problems getting insurance, my son has 350 hours and his IR, I’m pretty sure they’d laugh at him flying it! I’m looking for a non-turbo if I can find one, not many available right now.

    182Q vs 210N cabin size

    Are you selling a 210?

    182Q vs 210N cabin size

I’m only 59, but I understand. I sold my 425 to a gentleman that was a former Air Force pilot with tons of jet and turboprop time. He couldn’t get insurance without having another named pilot. He kept it a few months and sold it to get another Citation!

    182Q vs 210N cabin size

I want 6 seats, even though it normally be 2 plus 2 dogs, maybe 4 adults and my granddaughter occasionally!

    182Q vs 210N cabin size

My son has 350 hours and IR, all in 182. I’m not worried about me, 3800 hours almost all multi retract.

    182Q vs 210N cabin size

Thanks!! It does look wider. I’m looking for a true 4 passenger airplane and 206’s are slower and crazy expensive!!

    182Q vs 210N cabin size

I am curious as I have never been inside a 210, is the cabin width the same as a similar vintage 182? I know the older 182’s and strutted 210‘s were narrower. The 210 looks wider, but I’m curious if there is any real difference? The reason I’m asking is I have someone wanting my 414, and I’m...

    New Airworthiness Certificate

I’ve had to get new airworthiness certificates when I changed N numbers, the ATL FSDO was great, one guy even met me at the airport on his way home to drop it off!

    Jimmy Buffet Has Gone West

We went to a couple of his concerts in Atlanta, great show and watching the crowd was part of the fun! His music was part of every off shore fishing trip I’ve ever been on! Lots of Blue Marlin caught to his music! RIP Jimmy

    Boat or Airplane

I have a 35 foot center console, maintenance is a couple grand per year, on a lift at my house. Cessna 182 is $550 per month, annuals including repairs, about $4000. So the boat is cheaper to maintain.

    Selling Attitude

3 things affect sales. Price, condition and exposure. Competitive price, good condition with great pictures and listed on Barnstormers, TAP and Contoller. If it’s not getting calls, it’s probably priced too high. Same is true for almost all things for sale, cars, houses, tractors, boats, equipment.

    1975 421B - Toilet / Galley Questions

That particular issue calls for a precautionary landing!! In 30 years of owning and flying pressurized twins, I’ve had one friend use the relief tube, he fell in love with it!:D:D:rolleyes: Flying back from Puerto Rico in our Citation, my wife had to pee, and told her to use the potty...

    1975 421B - Toilet / Galley Questions

The best thing for the toilet is find a small bucket that finds the hole and put a plastic bag in it, I don’t think it’s a flushing potty. If it is, always say it’s broken!! The relief tube is a lifesaver, make sure you test it with water before using it!! And flush with a little water after...
