    While gummint fiddles, Calif burns

just to stir the pudding: apparently FEMA had some FEMA employees go to the FEMA press conference posing as reporters in order to throw a bunch of softball questions at the FEMA Press Secretary. Now THAT's funny! http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10/25/AR2007102502488.html

    Corn in the Sky

If I was a betting man, I would say that the farmers were harvesting which loosened up the corn stuff then a simple (but decent sized) dust devil sent them skyward. I've seen some here in Florida shoot debris pretty high.

    Question about Superstition...

Nah, here in jax they drink in their truck before they go to their plane. I like it too but I'm not a huge follower. I just like Vegeta because he's eerily similar to much of my personality.

    Question about Superstition...

As I think about the boat ritual, I think it came from a mariner's tendency to find any reason to drink. As pilots don't usually drink around their plane.....maybe the pilot's ritual would be to argue over the name for a couple hours then set a Far/Aim on fire? lol

    Question about Superstition...

Let me start by saying, I know how stupid this questions sounds. I wouldn't call myself overly superstitious, but with my chosen hobby (sitting in a hunk of metal thousands of feet above a hard surface) I figure avoiding any bad karma or juju can't hurt. My question concerns the N Number on a...

    ? about Silver State Helicopters

Although I can't speak for their training as I'm not a customer of theirs, I can regale you with some stories of dealing with them as I fly out of the same airport they do here in Jax. I don't think there's many people at CRG who would say they are happy about SSH being there. The reasons are...
