Adison inbound was super easy. Landed after dark around 6pm and wa routed over love field with no problems. I had trouble seeing the airport until I got onto base and the entry lights to the runway were bright and shiny.
Leaving was another matter. Adison was busy and I messed up in...
Kads it shall be.
As for king spa, I’m not expecting luxury by any means. So long as it’s not at the opposite end of the spectrum I’ll be easy to please.
i'm finally getting the opportunity to lounge in hot tubs and show off the speedo I didn't get to wear all summer by going to dallas for the night this coming Friday. since it's the most travelled weekend of the year I figure, why not fly instead of deal with traffic on 45 in and out of...
This seems like another reason to keep the FAA as a public entity.
I imagine an argument that advocates for privatization and per use fees will make is that there is a free version of aircraft separation in the form of adsb for those who don't want to pay the privatized FAA. Knowing there...
I was flying an ifr training flight yesterday and was wearing foggles when my cfi and I noticed on our ForeFlight iPads connected to a stratus 2 that a plane was heading towards us from our 11 o'clock and 300' above us. My cfi was looking but as we got closer to the approaching arrow and it's...
A seaplane tour would definitely be loads of fun but likely more cost than what I already have planned. But I'll look into it for sure just to verify.
And I'll be taking my log book and gain an hour or two of high performance time on a cross country training flight. :)
Thanks all for the input! I found a 182 with a cfi at Hayward that will take the three of us up and I'll talk with the cfi about doing a loop from Hayward to half moon bay for lunch and then north to the city and finally back to Hayward.
I doubt we would do the vineyards since I don't...
I definitely wouldn't fly alone. At the very least fly with a cfi and have him do all the radio work. At the most I'd simply be a passenger sitting in the front right seat.
I'll be staying in Danville so anywhere within 30-45 minutes would be ideal.
I didn't realize there's a difference. San Francisco Bay overflying the city, Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.
I found an outfit with a 172 but it will likely not be able to take the three of us plus the pilot. :(
The prices are definitely ramped up. And I understand it's a business but our club Cherokee cost $180 an hour wet andmake it $280 with a pilot. That's for the full Cherokee with 5 passengers so the air tour charging that much per person is dramatic.
But that's a completely different debate...
