Watched that video and immediately bought the Sensorcon. My numbers increase during climbs and then back down to low numbers when into cruise. It's good to have that information in realtime.

What was working better: fuel pump on, mixture off, throttle 1/4", then slowly advance mixture while starting engine until it catches. However, an update - after a rough mag check during run up that wouldn't clear and A&P cleaning the plugs didn't clear it either, I replaced all spark plugs...

Isn’t it interesting how an industry could make that decision for us all… I can’t say that I have taken a train to Chicago. Although, I would like to try the scenic one that goes from Chicago to San Francisco some day.. :-).

Oh, yes.. misread, but I do get Nexrad from ADSB. My source is the L3 Lynx NGT-9000 transponder. I still have the Stratux from before I upgraded my transponder in 2019, but can't recall if it worked for Nexrad. Next time I fly, I will try it again.

I have FlyQ and on version 6.0.2. I recall always having the ability to see precip when using the radar layer (both radar and animated). Is that what you are referring to? Here’s a screenshot..

207 hours of mostly IFR training, with family visits to SC and FL, plus a memorable trip to Big Bend.

As suspected, the gap was there on the real unit. Not a problem to handle the discontinuity by just directing it to the next point. I just wanted to make sure I was learning this correctly. Thanks everyone for the input.

I'll try on my real unit this weekend and report back.
