Sorry for the necro-post. Planning to fly the Warrior from the FL Panhandle to southern AZ and planning a stop in San Antonio next month. Any fresh recommendations for San Antonio airports/FBOs?

I live in the FL Panhandle and unfortunately the Warrior is on the ramp waiting for a T-hangar to become available. My plan is to fly north if we have one coming this way. I just took a look at my insurance policy from Old Republic (brokered by Assured Aerospace) and this is what it says...

SSI is great. Recommend checking out Jekyll Island as well. Really nice small airport with a company called, Red Bug on the field that rents golf carts that you can take around the island. Worse thing about SSI and the rest of the Golden Isles are the "no see-um" biting gnats.

I have a Piper Warrior that is parked outside in Florida (I'm #70 on the hangar waitlist...). It's spent a good bit of its life tied down in one coastal area or another and it's holding up pretty well on "death row". It's hard being hangar-less, but I disagree tie down planes are doomed...
