    Check your Arrows...

I'm still in disbelief but I came across the same thing yesterday on an Arrow that I've flown a handful of times. They're looking into it further.

CFI Lesson Plans - CFI Guide

Has anyone used these guys before? They seem to have the most up-to-date plans when it comes to implementing the ACS, etc. I've looked into all of the other popular ones, Jeppesen, PilotNick, and Backseat but all seem to be a little behind. I've thought of writing my own but it really doesn't...

    Heading to Chicago

KGYY is a great option and just south of them is 05C. Fuel is usually cheap and I don't think there is a tiedown fee. If you go into KGYY, make sure you go to Gary Jet Center!

Wish I could find something like this closer to me! Beautiful plane and it sounds like a great partnership.

    IR Oral Prep Guide

I read the ASA exam guide quite a bit and would reference a few online study guides along with my studying. Pilot Cafe had a good one! http://pilotscafe.com/download/IFRQuickReviewSheets.pdf Good luck!

Recommended Places to fly in the Midwest

Been to KEYE and loved Ricks! Will be back soon! Might have to do an overnight at Eau Claire or the Dells, both sound like a great spot. I'll be sure to check out Alton, someone else has recommended I go there. I74 sounds awesome, closeup to a B-17? I'm in! Golf is right up my alley...

Thanks for the responses everyone! I'll definitely be checking some of these out in the coming weeks. Pellston sounds like a good one!

Recommended Places to fly in the Midwest

Where do you guys like to fly in the Midwest? I'm based in Chicago, currently knocking out time towards my commercial and want to check out as many cool places as possible! Some places I haven't been yet that are on the list: KSBM - Sheboygan, WI KSJX - Beaver Island, MI KMCD - Mackinac...

Buy a plane to finish my time for commercial?

Thanks for the very in depth post, that will definitely keep me thinking. Agreed and it doesn't seem like an ultralight is very marketable for resale. I'm on the citabria hunt and am going to talk to a guy I know with a 140 to see what his thoughts are. 140's are pretty cheap with fresh...

Buy a plane to finish my time for commercial?

That's what I've been coming back to but I'm also optimistic and kind of want to give it a try haha! Thanks for the response. I've been wanting to find a Citabria after doing spin training in one. Also thought about a 140 or something but was thinking that it might be a little slow for x...

Buy a plane to finish my time for commercial?

The ultimate goal is to be an airline pilot but the shorter term goals are commercial and most likely CFI so I can start getting paid to fly as soon as possible. This has been a dream since childhood that I lost sight of growing up but now I've saved up enough to go after it (responsibly). I...

Buy a plane to finish my time for commercial?

I would use it to get my time up to the 250 range and then rent an Arrow to finish CPL training and take the checkride in. I looked into the costs a couple months back but I'm going to update my numbers to see where things stand. The main reason this idea came up again was I thought if I could...
