    Malibu down - Yoakum TX (T85) - 1-17-23 - 4 fatal

What makes you think this was a conversion? Everything I see online, including the performance of this last flight, indicates it was a piston. But some flights show much higher "Turbine" performance.

    414 down in KMOD 1/18/23, 1 Fatal

The pilot killed in a plane crash near the Modesto Airport on Wednesday has been identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office as an 80-year-old Bay Area resident. William Ellis of Lafayette was flying a Cessna 414 when for unknown reasons it crashed in a field east of the Mitchell Road...

    414 down in KMOD 1/18/23, 1 Fatal

Well, I just spoke to a first-hand pilot\mechanic witness that watched the whole thing, and he said there was nothing wrong with the engines or the plane. Apparently, the pilot was having communication (not radio) issues and was returning to the field. He got slow and made a very steep turn...

    414 down in KMOD 1/18/23, 1 Fatal

I sure hope the guys that fueled the 414 didn't put jet fuel in it, it should have been able to fly on one engine with one aboard at near sea level, unless he lost BOTH engines due to fuel contamination.

    414 down in KMOD 1/18/23, 1 Fatal

Yep, as I expected... Aviation Safety Network, an online service that provides information on airliner accidents and safety issues, claimed that the Cessna 414 experienced engine problems shortly after takeoff from the Modesto airport and “tried to return to the point of departure when it...

    414 down in KMOD 1/18/23, 1 Fatal

Flight tracking looks like he may have lost an engine after takeoff and lost airspeed on his way back to land. N4765G

    PA-46 down outside Seligman, AZ

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the safety of the Beechcraft V35 Bonanza became a major issue. The problem was a pattern of in-flight airframe failures. Many of these disintegrations occurred in instrument meteorological conditions and with non-instrument-rated pilots at the controls. There...

    PA-46 down outside Seligman, AZ

I doubt the speed itself was the terminal factor, the G loading AT that speed and the turbulence in the TS were more than likely his demise. This guy had a death wish, more money than brains, and if it wasn't this accident that killed him, it would have been another in the not-too-distant...

    PA-46 down outside Seligman, AZ

INDICATED AIRSPEED - "Structural testing and review of the Malibu/Mirage airframe came from several sources. The FAA, Piper, and the NASA Langley facility validated the results of Piper's original calculations on the PA-46's aeroelasticity and flutter characteristics. The analysis proved that...
