just back from Sun N Fun

Be sure to fill out the survey when they send it out. EAA has asked me several times to work SNF, but I've never been able to do it. They would not allow vendors to pack up early at Oshkosh, why allow it at SNF? I know it's not as big of an event, but it should be held to the same standards.

    April solar eclipse

Spent my day at a friends place for the eclipse. We had an amazing day! Photo taken by Darren Galatas. I'm in the bottom righthand corner sitting down by my telecope with a blue hat on. Hopefully I'll get some of Skot's toys in the air soon to get better photos!

    Aero Classic Leakguards Review

Someone told me using baby powder instead of talc causes this. They said baby J&J added corn starch after lawsuits for cancer.

    Aero Classic Leakguards Review

Not sure, but I just put the Desser Monsters on my plane. I've heard good things about them!

    Aero Classic Leakguards Review

I think so. I like the Airstops. I never have to add air.

    Aero Classic Leakguards Review

It's been mentioned on the forum before, but I felt like it was time to start a thread. Too many people getting ripped off! It's average $100 for the Aero Classic tube, $154 for the Michelin Air Stops, which get great reviews. One of the guys I mentioned recently had a flat on his Mooney...

Agree. I feel the same way. Was not what I expected. Way better!

    Aero Classic Leakguards Review

So in the last two weeks, I've had people mention they had flats. Each time I asked them if it was an Aero Classic Leakguard tube. Both times it was. Both times, pinholes in the side of the tube. I've replaced at least 5 of these, on two different planes, all for pinholes in the sidewall...

    April solar eclipse

I was down near Lampasas, TX and it was forecast to be cloudy all day. It was cloudy in the morning, then they got thinner and you could see the sun through them, it cleared out for the eclipse, then went solid afterword. Couldn't ask for better!

    Slow Cooked Beef

I love smoking a chuck roast. 225 until it reaches 170 and/or stalls, wrap it in butcher paper and cook it to 195. Drop the smoker down to 180, or you can even cook it in the oven at this point, for two hours. Will come out great. Can't wait to get home and eat my leftovers today! Added a...

First Airventure - Long journey ahead

No matter what others say, camping at OSH is awesome. I think I'm going on 8 years now! Once the airshow is over and the crowd leaves, the fun begins. Yeah, there will be at least one storm, but even that can be fun. Yeah, get a good tent, but in my opinion most of the tents out there will...

    April solar eclipse

The dark was way more than I expected. I wasn’t very excited about seeing this eclipse, especially with the forecast we had, but the clouds parted and we had an amazing show. Then the storms hit and knocked out my internet, and now my power! So for now, a few photos from my telescope...

    Air-to-Air Cessna TTx

In my humble opinion… if they’d put a parachute on it, Cirrus may not have survived! This is a sweet plane.
