    FAA and Digitally Signing Documents

Learn something new every day. I thought this required a service you had to pay for but it looks like Adobe will do it, as mentioned above. Thanks!

    FAA and Digitally Signing Documents

The FAA will allow you to update certain aircraft and airmen services via CARES now, which is really nice. However, they require it have a digital signature, as outlined here: https://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/aircraft_certification/aircraft_registry/digital_document How does one get a...

    POTUS Involvement in FAA Operations

The FAA falls under the Department of Transportation (DOT), which is an executive agency branch. I had to do a little digging because the news articles that I looked at didn't link to the FAA order. Here's what I found: The overall timeline from the FAA, which also links to the actual grounding...

    tonneau covers

I have my eye on a Diamondback cover: https://diamondbackcovers.com/ A little on the pricey side but well worth it in my opinion. There's different styles depending on your needs.

    Selling my Mooney

Sorry to see you sell the Mooney. Hopefully it goes to a good home. Do you plan to continue to fly or are you done?

Had an 800 acre island to myself, made chicken kabobs

That looks like a great time. This type of flying is something I'd like to do in addition to the regular flying I do. What kind of tent are you using?

    Average Cost/Time for Tailwheel Endorsement

Thanks for the responses. 5-10 is kind of what I expected. I haven't seen much in the way of cost, but from some searching in various places it looks on average to be around $2,000. The tailwheel endorsement is on the list, it's just a matter of when.

Poll: How should I accomplish my BFR?

Just to add some context, it depends on if it's a commercial outfit or a club. Commercial outfits are as @Lindberg posted; could be a couple of tows depending on if they want to see a rope break or not. If you only have clubs near you, you'll likely have to join the club and SSA before they...

What is the average cost and time for students to get the tailwheel endorsement?

Poll: How should I accomplish my BFR?

A glider rating isn't necessarily useless. It's fun and challenging to keep yourself in the air without an engine. Plus the principles of flying gliders translates over to powered planes; where to find sources of lift, L/D and how that translates for emergency procedures, etc. So if you want...

How to make a small fortune in aviation

This could be seen as discouraging him from investing in this business. Non-sequitur. Not only am I not interested in the business that he is, even if I was, I don't have the same information to form a risk assessment or have any idea of the value of pursuing this.

How to make a small fortune in aviation

I see this sentiment a lot, especially with regards to aviation. While your other points are valid and should be taken into consideration for business risks, the bolded parts puzzle me. He said he already operates a business that has similar characteristics: high barrier to entry, capital...

    Mooney M20M Bravo

Whether or not a mechanic "likes" to work on an aircraft is irrelevant to my search for one. Part of my research includes where to find a mechanic, certainly, but not their personal preferences. There are some Mooney Service Centers that I wouldn't trust, despite being a certified MSC. Obviously...

    Mooney M20M Bravo

You aren't the first to make this suggestion in this thread (or on this board in general), but I'm curious as to what the rationale for this suggestion/line of thinking is? Insurance will almost certainly require a certain amount of dual hours for training/transition so it's not as if he's...
