Hello everyone, I'm a Private Pilot that lives in Chesapeake, VA. Dec 4, 2012 I finally went legit to the FAA standards and gained my certificate. I currently have just 248 hours logged, and that has happened in a Cessna 172s, and a 206. I do not own an airplane as I rent from the local FBO. I have 2 years left until I retire from my government job, then I am making the move towards ATP.
I started out at the age of 17 in aviation as a mechanic for 10 years working the line, and performing duties as a structural/hydraulics mechanic. At that point I moved into the Non-Destructive Technician field where I have worked for the past 7 years. During this time I completed my A.S. degree in General Aviation, and moved on to complete my B.S. in Professional Aeronautics with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
If any of you can offer the opportunity for me to save some time, and $$ on making the career move towards ATP, please feel free to throw it my direction
