Obtained my single and multi-engine commercial pilots license + complex rating including IFR in 2007. Didn't have enough money to finish my CFI sadly so I had to do the next best thing which was go back to work. Haven't flown too much since then but enough to keep me happy. Loan payment kicked in after 6 months, car payment, yadda yadda... Well I decided since my car will finally be payed off in about 2 years that me and some family members are going in on a Cessna 310, something I keep trying to talk them out of and go with something like a Bellanca Super Viking, but of course they want the twin and here's the pilot trying to talk them out of it for financial sake. Not that we can't afford it but that a single engine leaves more room for those, spur of the moment Pine Flat Lake flights for lunch without having to run numbers in my head and sweating at how much the next flight will add to our overall hourly cost of the 310.
