    Airplane Kit Maker Won't Ship

I have built two of Van's airplanes, both now sold. I wanted to purchase different kit plane but the seller now will not ship them. You have to arrange pick up at the factory. It seems self-defeating to me and I cannot understand the maker's business decision. I know that Van's, for example...

    Hi Fold Doors Rat problems

I took in a feral cat over 6 years ago. He lives in the hangar. I put in a 'doggy door' so he can come and go as he pleases. I put a heat lap over his bed on the wing of the plane. No more mice and a 'buddy' when I work at the hangar.

    Seeking medical cert help!!

I cannot help but reflect on all the ADHD and other mental/emotional problems folks have. As I recall my grade school days ( I am now 89-years old) the old nuns had a solution for all these things: A good whack with a ruler. If that didn't work, their next step was several more whacks, but this...

How many people would be grounded

Last time I renewed mu\y DL they had a device to put your face into and read the letters. With glasses I could not get my face into the device and I needed lenses to read close-up....so I just guessed at the letters....the evil woman at DMV was not even listening to what I was saying..she just...

AOPA sold their aviation insurance business.

I was an AOPA member for years. When I reached 80-years of age they said they would not insure me because of my age. I thought that if I was too old for their insurance I was probably too old to be a member also, so I dropped my AOPA membership.

    Oh my...

I once worked at the airport in Alexandria, MN, where the planes are made. The wooden wings were made in a shop away from the field and brought to the airport where the planes were made. The wooden wings were in bare wood form then and were a work of art...absolutely perfect. One item...

    Flew through a TFR.

As a former FAA/CAA technical worker, I am always reminded of the phrase, "The mills of the Gods grind amazingly slowly, but they grind amazingly fine." In other words the machinery will eventually spit out what you are waiting for.
