    It's baack! The Raptor 2.0

This seems to defy the laws of physics, like his other creation. Is there a simple equation that relates power to thrust assuming 100% efficient power transfer? Seems like this could be quickly debunked mathematically.

    New weather app

That's the plan, we are just finishing higher resolution weather and have a few other high priority items then will work on a proper mac verison (right now you can't tilt on the mac version) and iPhone. I think the cloud data will look pretty cool.

    New weather app

This has in my opinion confusingly been placed in this section by admins so I understand the questions. To be clear, this is essentially a hobby project, you cannot buy it and there is no demo. We may charge something down the road to recoup the server costs but it is currently 100% free. It...

    New weather app

Everything else in this section is something being sold, so it doesn't seem to fit (this is more of a hobby project), but I'll leave it at that as we might need to eventually charge something to cover the server expenses. It is an iPadOS app, and it requires iPadOS 16 - performance on older...

    New weather app

Looks like this got moved to classified ads. I'm not selling anything, this is not a commercial app. Sigh.

    New weather app

Just released a 3D weather app we have been working on for awhile, targeted at pilots. Lots of things yet to do, this is a very 1.0 release. Interested in feedback anyone has. Requires iOS 16, it is free. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ottoweather/id1367621687

GMA 350 Config so passengers don’t hear ATC

On the remote GMA 35c, there’s a way to configure it so passengers never hear ATC audio by entering the 750 config screen. Is there a way to do this on the 350? I know there is a tool installers can use but not sure if this is a setting. I’d like the person in the copilot seat to be able to...

    Recommended PC for Xplane?

I am trying to run three 4k TVs, left center and right. I have the left and right at 1080p (really just needed for visual reference) and 4K on the front TV so I can read the instrument panel. It's too slow even with the Vulkan update so I just bought a 5900X to replace the 3900X. Hopefully that...

    ForeFlight updated this morning and...

It was extended to 28 hours I believe, but yeah about a day. Ceiling forecasts out further than that aren’t very useful IMO, I don’t remember the accuracy but in some areas it seems to be wrong more than it was right. Even at 24 hours it’s often wrong.

The NWS has replaced them with GLMP which was just updated recently. They haven’t updated all of the graphics yet but it looks like when they do they sill be here: https://www.weather.gov/mdl/lamp_home

    Instrument Panel finish

You can spray it with a matte clearcoat from a rattle can. Several flat products are available.

    GI275 question

That’s in reference to an analog AI with a movable bar. You’re talking about asking a Garmin dealer to make modifications to an AI counter to the install instructions. I’m not bashing you for doing it, but on the point of if it’s technically correct, it simply isn’t. I don’t care enough to find...

    GI275 question

It’s not correct per the aircraft maintenance manual, the FARs, and Garmin’s installation manual. This one isn’t up to preference, technically speaking. It’s impossible to set it to zero in level flight because your pitch will always vary depending on weight, power, etc.

Garmin Pilot - Editing Aircraft Performance

There was originally only one Android size also, that quickly turned into hundreds. Early Android layout was a disaster, and is still more time consuming to do than on iOS. Because there are so many devices and screen sizes, it’s a practical impossibility to guarantee an application will run...
