    For Sale 1946 Aeronca 7ac - $30000 - Detroit

That was listed on Facebook Marketplace here in the Detroit area last week. He was asking 30k, but a couple days ago he changed the listing to 18K and sold. I remember seeing this plane at Plymouth Mettetal airport years ago when I was flying out of there. It was a beautiful plane then!

    New App provides "visual METARS"

I am just trying to understand what they are showing. The winds, ceiling and altimeter all are pretty self explanatory... What is the outer ring with the plane trying to depict?

    Pilots Bill of Rights

The way I read the bill, if you have an existing SI, you will never need a medical again. There are a list of items in the bill such as heart problems, neurological issues, mental health issues that would require a one time SI after they are discovered. See subsection (e) in the link...

    Pilots Bill of Rights

As long as you do not fall into a small group of problems needing an SI (mental illness, heart problems, etc), then you are correct.

Pilots Bill of Rights 3 - Senate hearing

According to AOPA, the Manchin amendment was passed, but a full committee vote was deferred due to scheduling conflicts. :dunno: http://www.aopa.org/News-and-Video/All-News/2015/November/18/Committee-passes-Manchin-amendment-to-PBR2

House with hangar for rent Wilmington NC

The title of the thread is "House with hangar for rent Wilmington NC". So my best guess, would be that is probably located in Wilmington NC :D

    Bringing an RV(Camper) to OSH

Anything in Camp Scholler will get you the full experience. In my opinion, the day time is only a tiny part of the enjoyment of Airventure. That said, from my past experience, the full hook up sites are usually long gone by opening day. If you are local, or have somebody willing to help...

    Oshkosh Camping

Can you provide a link to that? I have been searching the AirVenture website, and can only find info on lodging (hotels, private houses, and dorms). All the camping they seem to reference is on airport EAA camping.

    Oshkosh Camping

I got a couple unexpected days off, and was thinking about heading over to Air Venture for the 28th and 29th. Usually I just throw a tent down wherever I go, but see they require a minimum of 3 nights. Are there any other off airport camping sites you guys know about? I dont need...

    annoyed with flight school

Just a quick observation, when I was learning to fly, the flight school had two 172's. I don't remember the details on years, but one had an airspeed indicator in MPH, and one was in knots. If you didn't pay attention, and just stuck it on 65, one would float forever!

Is this Trike a Lawn Ornament?

You could apply as a builder for an experimental amateur built C of A, but that would require builder logs and being able to prove you built the trike. You could also go the experimental exhibition route, but that is very restrictive, and you would need to find a DAR (Designated...

Is this Trike a Lawn Ornament?

Getting a N number is easy....mail your money in and reserve it. Being able to use that N number on a plane that has a certificate of airworthiness is a completely different animal.

Is this Trike a Lawn Ornament?

He said it has two seats, so right from the start it does not qualify for 103. If you remove a seat and put a 5 gallon tank on it, it is possible, but unlikely, able to meet 103 weight requirements. There are ways to still get a cert of airworthiness for it, but most are pretty shady...
