    GA in Illinois and Wisconsin?

I just moved away from IL. Before ending up in the desert I was looking in WI. Lake Geneva Aire Estates would be a neat place to live. I really hope I never have to return to IL. I thought learning to fly in southern WI was great. Constantly changing weather. Plenty of towered and...

What do you think? Good deal?

Why are spins prohibited? I recall a rudder stop AD but I thought the repair was fairly inexpensive

I'm thinking about joining the Air Force.

It may be helpful to provide more info on what you're after. Are you looking to be a pilot? already a pilot? Want to fly fighters/cargo/helicopters?

    Flying costs thru the years

In 2007 I was paying $45/hour (wet) for a 152. I think monthly club dues were $50. Since it is a club there were no taxes. Insurance was included. Fuel is cheaper today than it was then but the club is now charging $80/hr for the same aircraft. I don't know what changed...maybe insurance...

    Panthera - 390k - for the KIT !!!!

There are tons of kits out there under less known names. There are plenty of plans out there if you want to build from scratch. Yes the kit prices are a bit off putting but you still have plenty of options if you're willing to go less mainstream.

Anybody using streaming tv services yet?

I'd start out by buying an antenna and seeing how you like that. One thing you may miss is the digital menu system that cable/direcTV have. Some TVs do offer the menu. My Sony Android TV has an awesome built in menu/schedule system that pulls the info from the internet. Most of the services...

Anybody using streaming tv services yet?

There are a lot of options out there. If you share what you watch/what you want access to it is much easier to figure out which services are best for you.

    Commercial airline security after 9/11

I've never flown internationally so maybe others can help me out. What percentage of flights originate in locations where the TSA procedures are employed? Are they more or less stringent compared to other countries? It seems to me there are countless opportunities in other countries to more...

    NA -- 2015/2106 Chevy Colorado

I drove half way across the country and back with a friend in his base model 2015 Colorado (four cylinder 2wd). It was packed to the gills with two dirt bikes and all sorts of gear. The truck was reasonably comfortable and got decent mileage. It is not a powerhouse but is adequate. The...

    Unbundling Comcast

We replaced our rented modem with a purchased modem about a year ago. We installed it and called to have them update their system so it would work. It was great for a week then stopped working. Ultimately a tech came out and discovered everything was fine but the girl on the phone did not...

    Motion Sickness

I never had a problem on a commercial flight but at first during training I would start to feel lousy. I probably made it 30 minutes on my first flight. The first few flights my instructor would check with me and make sure I was feeling okay. When I told him I wasn't feeling great we headed...
