Thank you to everyone that provided feedback. I've decided to turn off the beta test links for now. Thank you for your time.

For Sale Looking for Android App Beta testers

Flyingron, Any version of Android from JellyBean and beyond, which is almost all of the currently active versions of Android. As far as what differentiates this app from Avare, this app is meant to be simple and intuitive to use and target the private pilot VFR audience. Avare does a lot of...

For Sale Looking for Android App Beta testers

Forane, so basically enhanced emergency or emergency landing assistance. I had this type of thing on my list for further down the line but I'll count this as a major up-vote for moving that up to the front of the queue. Thank you very much!

For Sale Looking for Android App Beta testers

Hi Dana. I've tried using Avare in the past and I found it to be very difficult to use. As far as I'm aware, there are two features in this app that Avare doesn't have, though if I'm incorrect, please let me know how to accomplish these things in Avare. The first is that I can't view sectional...

For Sale Looking for Android App Beta testers

Great! Portrait mode is not forced, so don't worry about that. There is one known bug where on initial launch, the gps wont activate. It only happens the first time and is corrected by force quitting and re-launching the app (or rebooting your phone if you don't know how to force quit). A fix is...

    Hiking/Backpacking Destinations

These three aren't backpacks but I like them as day hikes. The first is North Adam's, Massachusetts (KAQW). You can pick up a trail that goes up Mount Greylock, 1.5 miles from the airport. The second is Bar Harbor, Maine (KBHB). You can get a short bus trip into Acadia National Park from here...

For Sale Looking for Android App Beta testers

I've developed an aviation app for Android and am looking for a couple of beta testers that would be interested in using the product. The app currently is capable of displaying VFR charts for both online and offline viewing, METAR data, and marking your current location. It is a subscription...

Adding Chapters to your YouTube Video

I tried doing a youtube flying channel once but every time I felt like there was something interesting to film, it would also be when I wanted to be most focus on flying. Like the first time I went through the NY VFR bravo corridor. I need a co-pilot that wants to do all the filming :)

    Blessed by a weekly airshow...

I used to live on a hill where giant cargo carrier military planes would fly over for training runs. It was really neat and now often enough to become a bother. It was like a free unannounced airshow everyone once in a while :)

    GoPro problems

Wifi signals often coexist happily. If you live in a city, think of how many wifi routers are in close proximity and work just fine. As long as you don't want to connect one device to two wifi devices at the same time, you're fine.

    Tight VNC: Safe? Malware?

Jim, I personally use RealVNC which is sort of the same thing but you don't need to know the IP address of your machine. It also has mobile apps to log into your machine and whatnot. I've used it for years and I highly recommend it for your own personal use. In relation to the start of this...

    Airports with hiking opportunities

I like to step out of the plane and hit the trails. Living in the north east, there are 3 airports I know of that provide you the ability to get on a hiking trail pretty quickly. The first is North Adam's, Massachusetts (KAQW). You can pick up a trail that goes up Mount Greylock, 1.5 miles...
